Song Matcha is a contemporary tea atelier rooted in ancient craftsmanship. We source our matcha and roasted green teas directly from organic, small-batch farms across Japan’s misty Uji hills, Taiwan’s high-mountain Alishan gardens, and the time-honored tea fields of Zhejiang, China. Each leaf is hand-picked, shade-grown, and stone-milled with care—preserving its vivid color, nourishing energy, and refined flavor. From bright ceremonial-grade matcha to soothing, aromatic hojicha, every tin reflects our commitment to purity, sustainability, and elegant simplicity—inviting you to slow down and savor tea at its most meaningful.
Inspired by the Song Dynasty, a golden age of tea, poetry, and quiet ritual, Song Matcha embraces an aesthetic of calm and contemplation. In that era, tea became a form of meditation—whisked, not steeped, and shared in moments of stillness among scholars and artists. We carry this spirit forward in both our sourcing and design, letting beauty emerge from restraint. At Song Matcha, we don’t just serve tea—we offer an experience shaped by history, harmony, and intention.

From the Founder:
The story of Song Matcha begins in the misty hills of Zhejiang, where I grew up on my family’s tea farm. Some of my earliest memories are of watching my grandmother’s hands—steady, stained green—sorting tender spring leaves in silence. The rhythm of harvest, the scent of steamed tea, and the quiet rituals of daily brewing were woven into the fabric of my childhood. I didn’t realize then that these simple, grounded moments would stay with me long after I left home.
Years later, after living abroad and exploring the fast-paced world of modern wellness, I found myself longing for that stillness—and for the taste of real tea: clean, vibrant, alive. That longing became Song Matcha—a tribute to the landscapes that raised me and the people who continue to care for the land with patience and pride. Through this brand, I want to share teas that are more than a drink—they are an invitation to pause, reconnect, and sip with intention, just as I did as a little girl in the Zhejiang hills.
